IMPACC Maintenance
Maintenance of the Injury Management Prevention and Cost Containment (IMPACC) program, provided by UnityPoint Clinic Occupational Medicine, is the best way to maximize the benefits and ensure long term success of the program. Once your employees have been trained on proper work place ergonomics and WorkSmart habits, give them access to the following resources to continue improving the work environment.
Walk Through and Round Table Discussion
A walk through of the facility will be done after implementation of the IMPACC Industrial Athlete program to assess what your business has done to identify risks in your workplace, increase exercise participation, improve attitudes and contain costs. Discussions will be held with the employees and supervisors to determine the IMPACC Industrial Athlete program's success at that point. Findings from the walk through and these discussions will be analyzed and a compiled report, including improvement suggestions, will be filed for your business.
Review Training Classes
A review class may be provided one year after implementing the IMPACC Industrial Athlete program and then every one to three years following. This training reinforces injury prevention actions to practice, physical risk factors to avoid and proper worksmart ergonomics to maintain. By consistently enforcing the guidelines of the program, you will help your employees continue to improve their personal health and therefore improve productivity in the workplace.
On-site PT/OT Clinic
Regular availability of on-site physical/occupational therapy services in your workplace offers significant advantages within your workplace. These therapy services, used in conjunction with the IMPACC Industrial Athlete program, will help control cost containment, improve employee morale, improve case management and provide early intervention therapy for musculoskeletal injuries.
OSHA Log and Early Reporting First Aid Log Review
Reviews of the OSHA Log and First Aid Log Review can be done on a quarterly basis and reassessed each year. By analyzing the data gathered prior to the Work Risk Analysis and comparing it to reports since the inception of the ergonomic program, St. Luke’s provides rationale for the success to date and offers recommendations for further improvement. This review will also develop data for ongoing program evaluation measurements, to continuously reduce and prevent musculoskeletal injury, claims and costs at your workplace.
