Gabby's Room
Gabby's Room is the result of a dream. This one-of-a-kind kid-sanctuary in Sioux City is named after Gabby Benson, an Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia patient, and located in St. Luke's Ambulatory Service Infusion Center. Gabby's Room features all the amenities to make visiting the hospital a little more comfortable for children undergoing treatments and other procedures. With gifts raised through
St. Luke's Children's Miracle Network, the room features:
- A flat-screen television
- DVD player
- Xbox
- Video games
- Books and other toys
The room's home-like setting also provides extra comfort including a private restroom and custom made cabinetry to keep medical equipment out of the patient's view. Plus, special twinkle lights in the ceiling allow children to rest "under the stars."
