Mental Health

UnityPoint Health - St. Luke’s Center for Behavioral Health offers both inpatient and outpatient mental health care.

Inpatient Unit

The hospital’s inpatient unit offers behavioral stabilization, psychiatric and detox services for adults in a spacious area, complete with a recreation room to help transition patients toward independence. Education is done through videos, printed materials and group therapy with a special focus on:

  • Coping skills
  • Crisis management
  • Goal setting
  • Medication management
  • Cognitive behavioral therapy
  • Self-esteem

Outpatient Services

The outpatient behavioral health unit provides outpatient mental health services to chronically or acutely ill adults through a multidisciplinary approach. Treatment includes group therapy and intensive outpatient services. Referrals are accepted from physicians and health care providers.
