St. Luke’s College Graduates 28 in Winter Graduation Ceremony

Sioux City, IA - St. Luke’s College held its winter commencement ceremony on Friday, December 14th at the Sioux City Convention Center in Sioux City, Iowa for the Class of 2012. Twenty-eight students graduated after successfully completing the College’s two-year professional program in nursing. The graduates are eligible to take the national licensure examination to become a registered nurse.
The Graduation Ceremony began with an invocation given by Chaplain Jon Millen, Chairperson, Department of Clinical Pastoral Education at the College. Welcome comments were given by Lynn Wold, Chief Operating Officer at St. Luke’s Medical Center. Sharon Wellendorf, Chief Nursing Officer at Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove; and Member of St. Luke’s College Board of Directors, delivered the commencement address to the graduating class.
Graduating Summa Cum Laude were Janie Boon, Danica Hoffman and Nicole Low. Graduating Cum Laude were Laura Dykstra, Sandra Moerman, Amanda Sturgeon, Rachel Van der Waal, and Elizabeth Vereen.
