St. Luke's Kolar named one of Iowa's best

Sioux City, IA - Jodi Kolar of St. Luke’s College has been named among the greatest nurses in Iowa. Kolar was recently honored as one of the 100 Great Iowa Nurses, a recognition program of the Iowa Nurses Association, for her commitment, competence and courage in the field of nursing.
Kolar serves as department chair and associate professor in the Department of Nursing Education at St. Luke’s College. With 30 years of experience, she began her career at St. Luke’s in 1983, working as a staff nurse in St. Luke’s surgical unit. She went on to join St. Luke’s College in 1989 as a nursing instructor and then assistant professor before being named as associate professor in nursing in 2008.
Kolar received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota and a Master of Science in Nursing from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Theta Gamma Chapter, and the National League for Nursing.
